Jorge Raiko Carmona Fistonic

Jorge studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Concepción, qualifying as a lawyer in 1996. His extensive professional experience spans both the private and public sectors in the region.

Mr. Carmona’s professional background includes positions such as Attorney for the Municipal Corporation for Social Development, focusing on education and health matters. He served as Head of the Legal Department of the Municipality of Iquique. For over a decade, he held the role of Attorney Controller for the Regional Housing and Urban Development Service (SERVIU) in Tarapacá, Arica, and Parinacota.

From 2000 to 2003, he was President of the Iquique Bar Association. Additionally, from 2000 to 2012, he taught Roman Law and Civil Law at Arturo Prat University’s School of Law and conducted final exams for new generations of lawyers in northern Chile.

In private practice, he has participated in various significant commercial operations and litigation both within and beyond the region, advising various regional, national, and international companies.

Currently, as a senior partner, he primarily focuses on corporate, real estate, educational, administrative, and labor law consulting.

Throughout his academic career, he has completed various courses in Chile and abroad, specifically in Toronto, Canada. He has also written articles in his areas of expertise—Civil and Commercial Law—which have been published by Arturo Prat University’s School of Law.
