María completed her secondary education at La Providencia School in Ovalle. In 2008, she began studying Law at Arturo Prat University in Iquique, graduating in 2012 with the highest honors for her outstanding academic performance.
After passing her bar exam, she completed her professional practice at the Family Center of Iquique until July 2015. She joined Carmona Abogados as a legal assistant later that year, continuing until her graduation in 2017. Since then, she has served as an attorney at Carmona Abogados y Compañía Limitada, where she remains employed.
Her areas of expertise include administrative law, civil law, labor law, consumer law, commercial law, and specialized legal advice to educational institutions in the region on educational regulations.
In 2018, she participated in a Diploma in Administrative Law at the Catholic University of the North, where she earned first place and was awarded for academic excellence. From September 2022 to September 2023, she completed a Diploma in Corporate Law and Compliance, offered by e-class and certified by the University of the Andes, graduating with the highest honors.
